Growing up in Northern Ireland, Nina attended art college at The University of Ulster, graduating with a focus on Textiles. Her love of texture and pattern translated into the more versatile medium of painting. Nina’s work reflects the muted colors of the British Isles where she grew up, as well as the textures in the landscape surrounding her current home in Knoxville, Tennessee. Each work consists of many thin layers of paint, applied in an array of techniques - rollered, scraped, sanded, sprayed, stencilled and painted onto the canvas.
